Description
The three rounds judged are:
- Symmetry – Encompasses the overall proportions, and symmetry from the top to bottom and front and side of the physique.
- Muscularity – Overall muscle size, and conditioning is assessed in this round.
- Free Posing – Stage presentation is considered in this round, as is the athletes ability to display their strengths and hide their weaknesses.
Bikini
Bikini is a “softer” and lighter muscled look than our other competitive classes with an emphasis on a fit, tight toned physique, especially in the legs and glutes
Bikini competition suits competitors who appear trained and athletic, but without muscular detail, separation and vascularity and whose level of muscle size is lower than those which would be rewarded in the Figure or Fit Body disciplines
The two rounds judged are:
Round 1 – Fitness & Balance
Round shoulders, defined abs, soft lines in legs, and tight glutes
Over lean, muscular, or hard or vascular physiques will be scored down
Round 2 – Physical Appearance
The overall appearance of the athlete. Stage presentation, suit choice, tanning, hair,
makeup, etc. is encompassed in this round.
MEN’S PHYSIQUE
Judges are looking for a lean, fit, muscular physique that is balanced and aesthetically pleasing. Athletes should be groomed properly, possess a pleasing muscle shape, good v-taper (highlighted by relatively wide shoulders and a small waist) and a well-developed mid-section are prominent in the judges’ criteria. Judges are looking for the level of muscle mass/ extreme leanness that are necessary for success in bodybuilding.

Round shoulders, wide back, defined abs, split in calves
Looking for a lean, muscular, conditioned physique.
Round 2 – Physical Appearance
The overall appearance of the athlete. Stage presentation, short choice, tanning, hair, etc. is encompassed in this round.
